Join us for an interactive evening dedicated to developing a voting feature for our upcoming projects and topics. Whether you're new to coding or an experienced developer, this event offers a great opportunity to contribute and learn.

We'll begin with a brief overview of the voting feature and its importance in our community. Then, we'll split up into teams and knock out some front end work, back end work, and maybe some ops stuff too! The goal is to launch the feature during the session and allow you, our members, to propose and vote on what we do next!

During the session, there will be plenty of chances to network with fellow developers, discuss best practices, and share experiences related to building and launching features.

Bring a laptop if you can!

# C# Language Design Process

What all goes into designing a C# language feature? Why does it take so long for even simple additions to the language to go from idea to reality?

In this session a member of the C# language design team is going to take you on the journey of designing a language feature. We'll explore params collections which is being added to C# 13 and go through the journey from idea to shipping product and all the challenges that it faced along the way.

Bio:
Jared Parsons is the C# and Razor compiler lead. He’s been working at Microsoft for 20 years now, pretty much all of that either on the .NET team or working on .NET Tooling. Besides compilers he’s got a strong passion for infrastructure and legacy code bases.

Back by popular demand (or maybe just b/c we had fun last time), we're doing another Tea and Code at Clevyr! Not familiar with that? Just show up, hang out, drink some awesome tea (all free, of course), and get to know more about your fellow Techlahomies. This is not a speaker event - we're just having a good time. Maybe we'll even fill up that mini-keg in the picture. What better way to end the work week? No laptops required; you're more than welcome to bring them however, and there will be tables and desks available if you need to escape to a quiet place.
