What we’re about
This meetup group is for art lovers and artists at all levels who love plein air painting in and around Palm Beach County and the surrounding South Florida vicinity. The group was organized by Ralph Papa & Donna Walsh in 2010 to bring artists together to paint the land, sea and city scapes in beautiful south Florida. We welcome resident artists and visiting artists at all levels to come out with us to paint and document today's landscapes that contribute to tomorrow's history.
If you have never painted outside, it can be a bit intimidating. But it is an enormous amount of fun when you go with a compatible group, and the Palm Beach Plein Air Artists are so much fun. Once people paint with us, they can’t wait to come back. We plan going to many places in Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade Counties and have a lot of fun.

See all- CALL For ENTRY: “Delray on Canvas" at Chapel 4 DEADLINE April 21, 2024200 SE 7th Ave, Delray Beach, FL
PAPB Gallery at Chapel 4, 200 SE 7th Ave. will have the next changeover exhibit in April. The theme is Delray on Canvas. Since the exhibit with the same name was so well received when it was part of the reopening of the Crest Theatre, we are going to give it a longer run. You do not need to have participated in the original Delray on Canvas exhibit to enter but the paintings entered must be of Delray Beach. As usual this exhibit is open to Contributing Artists of PAPB. All work accepted must remain for the duration of the exhibit.
Timeline:
· Application deadline April 21, 2024
· Drop off new work & pick up previous work April 25th, 1-3 pm or April 26, 10 am - noon. All work must be framed, wired and ready to hang with a label on the back. You will be asked to sign a waiver.
· Exhibit Run May 3 - Oct
· Opening Reception: Friday May 3rd, 2024, 6 - 8 PM, part of First Friday Art WalkHow to Apply:
On or before the entry deadline of April 21st, 2024, applicants must upload up to 5 images of their plein air paintings that they wish to enter in the Chapel 4 exhibit. We will try to accept as many works of art as possible to include as many CA members as possible.To upload your images:
- Access our meetup website photo album for this meetup call to artists https://www.meetup.com/palmbeachartists/events/300218288
- After uploading the files, select "Add or Edit Caption" to include the following data for each of the images you uploaded: Artist Name; Title of Painting; ); Medium; Size including frame; Price / For example: (Donna Walsh; Spady Museum, Delray Beach; acrylic on canvas, 14x11 20x17 with frame. $450 .)
After successfully uploading and labeling the photos of your plein air paintings: - Then go to our PAPB website homepage at www.pleinairpalmbeach.com. Click on "Pay Exhibit Fee" which will take you to the payment page to pay the $15 Exhibit Entry Fee.
Once your entry fee is paid and confirmation received; …..
