What’s up, photo friends of the Triangle? Welcome to Oak City Camera Club, your new hangout for all things photography community in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
About Us:
Oak City Camera Club is a laid-back group of photo enthusiasts from all walks of life. Whether you're a seasoned pro, a hobbyist, or just starting out, you're welcome here. We're all about celebrating creativity, building friendships, and enjoying our shared love of photography and cameras.
What We Do:
Join us for casual adventures and creative exploration:
- Cameras & Drinks: Kick back and relax at our social meetups, where we swap stories, tips, and laughs over drinks. It's a chill vibe where everyone's welcome, whether you're a photography pro or just love snapping pics on your phone.
- Strolls & Shots: Wander the streets, parks, and urban spots of the Triangle with us on relaxed photo walks. Discover hidden gems, striking views, and unique perspectives while mingling with fellow shutterbugs.
- Meet & Shoot: Join the community for a fun group shoot. Learn how others work with lights, props, and interact with subjects, all while photographing concepts outside of your comfort zone.
- Challenge Yourself: Test your creativity with our monthly photo challenges. It's all about pushing boundaries, trying new things, and celebrating the beauty of everyday moments through your lens.

We're hosting a studio photography event that brings together photographers and models in a relaxed, creative setting. This is an opportunity for both models and photographers to learn, experiment, and create together. Our goal is to create a comfortable environment where everyone can develop their skills and build connections within the local creative community, therefore we will be limiting attendance to a good model to photographer ratio.
To RSVP and claim your spot, send a DM on instagram to @oakcitycameraclub. Priority will be given to photographers who have already attended OCCC events in the past, and then will be given on a first come first served basis.
Interested in Modeling?
Aspiring and experienced models are always welcome to join any Oak City Camera Club! We're always looking for models of any age, body type, and experience level. The only thing we require is enthusiasm for being in front of the camera.
