What we’re about

We are a non-profit, secular group of atheists, agnostics, skeptics, freethinkers, humanists, non theists, and non-believers - pick whichever label you like best. We are a chapter of the American Humanist Association (AHA) in Washington, DC, and follow their stated philosophy:

A progressive philosophy of life, that without the supernatural beliefs,
affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal
fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity.

We started up in November 2012 and welcome any like-minded people to join us for social activities and all the benefits of community. We meet the second Sunday of the month at 5:30 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of New Bern.

Our mission is to provide a positive, secular community where people can develop friendships, socialize, and learn about and support humanism and its values as defined by the American Humanist Association for the greater good of humanity.

Find us Facebook as well at https://www.facebook.com/humanistsofnewbern.

We are also setup to receive donations through Amazon Smile, a program from Amazon that donates a percentage of your purchase to us if you select to do so.  Details here - https://smile.amazon.com/.
