NAMI Eastside Peer and Family Support Groups.

NAMI Eastside Family Support Groups are peer-led support groups for any adults with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar experiences.

Connection groups range between 6-12 individuals.
The groups are led by trained individuals who are in recovery themselves. They understand your daily challenges and can offer you encouragement and support. All groups are confidential--you can share as much or as little personal information as you wish.
This is a safe place to share your personal experiences and get support from people who understand. Participate as much as you are comfortable.
RSVP's appreciated but not required.

This peer-led group is for adults who live with mental illness -- if you struggle with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, SAD, PTSD, OCD, ADD, BPD, PAD or any mental health challenges, please join us as we listen to one another, share stories, struggles and successes. You are not alone.

This group is open only to individuals with a mental illness. Family members and friends should check our list of other support groups.

A support group is a place where people can share their feelings and experiences with others who understand and care. It is not a place for judgment or advice, but for mutual respect and acceptance. Everyone has a voice and a right to express themselves in a safe environment.

Being in a support group can help people realize that they are not alone or different, but normal and human. They can learn from each other's coping strategies and insights and find new ways to deal with their challenges.
A support group is also a social activity. It can be fun and enjoyable to meet new and old friends, and to feel connected and supported. A support group can reduce the loneliness and isolation that many people face in their lives.

Attendance is limited to people who have or suspect they have bipolar disorder, as well as parties who support them, are welcome to join the meeting.
