MMM.008 - the 8th Multilingual Monday Meetup

The 8th Multilingual Monday Meetup will focus on different types of mentoring - for startups, for STEM students, and for aspiring UX professionals. Our presenters will share how and why they started mentoring others, and where their journeys have taken them.
On Monday, 08-30, there will be short talks from Florian Pestoni, Fariha Tasnim, and Felix Lee during the first hour; Fahra Dumont will be our moderator. People who stay beyond the first hour are encouraged to network and chat with one another... in languages other than English, if possible! (No pressure, though - English is fine.)
Presentations and Q&A are in English (with ASL interpreters*) and will finish during the first hour.
Anybody can join existing Meeting Spots, or create new conversation circles. Jinhee Baek will be there for anybody who wants to practice Korean. Verónica Carmona-González is happy to chat with people in French, Spanish, or English!
NEW for MMM.008 - While this event is free to attend, ten tickets will be sold ($8.30 each) for people who want a "front row seat"/"backstage pass" ... this money will be used to cover the cost of ASL interpreters. Please look for "MMM.008.frs - front row seat / backstage pass" under "Events" to purchase. These ten attendees will be with us in the presenters Meeting Spot; you'll play a larger role in the speakers' experience, since they can see your facial expressions while they're talking.
PLEASE NOTE: MMM.008 will be held on the Toucan event platform. Toucan works best in Chrome, on a computer with a mouse or trackpad. You can also use Toucan in Safari on an iPad.
*There will not be ASL interpreters in the Meeting Spots, but there is an option to communicate via private typed chat.
