Do you sometimes lack purpose, passion and sense of belonging?
Would you like to explore who you really are, beyond money, muscles and monkeying around- and trying to fill an emotional hole with egotistical exploits, rather than trying to be whole?
Many men sadly turn to self-abuse such as, drink, drugs and porn and unhealthy relationships as a way of coping. Johann Hari said, “The opposite of addiction is not sobriety; the opposite of addiction is connection. Men's groups provide the social medicine men need."
**Attendee numbers here do not reflect attendance, as we use multiple sites - this is not a ghost town!**
In a nutshell a men’s group is men sitting together in their social community, workplace or online; talking and listening to one another*,* learning from each-other’s experiences.
It’s a place to explore who we are, who we no longer need to be, and how we can lead better, fuller lives. A place where we can grow in authenticity; a place without a pecking order, judgement, blame, or shame, where everybody knows your name.
What The Media Are Saying
"[MenSpeak Groups are… ] Press-ups for the mind and circuit training for the soul.” Tony Parsons from GQ Magazine
"He’s a gentle voice in the ears of the many men who come to him for help with life – he’s The Man Whisperer." Newsweek Magazine about MenSpeak Founder Kenny Marmmarella-D’Cruz
“[ Kenny Marmmarella-D’Cruz is the] .. Consultant, Coach and Guru of All Things Men,” Daily Express Magazine

MuslimMenSpeak : for (practicing & non-practicing) Muslim men to speak about our life journeys
Do you want to EXPLORE being an AUTHENTIC Man & MUSLIM?
**Attendee numbers here do not reflect attendance, as we use multiple sites - this is not a ghost town!**
The purpose of this group is to provide:
. A safe, non-judgemental online space where Muslim men can come together and talk with other Muslim men about anything on their minds.
. A space to discuss our needs, wants, cultural and community issues. We can redefine ourselves as individual Muslim men.
. A confidential space where we are safe to explore our feelings and take the masks off to discover who we were, who we are, and who we might no longer want to be.
. We can explore the roles we are expected to play and how to make space for us to be authentic men, with personal priorities and within traditional pressures.
. A space to test-drive who we might be, exploring our true selves and receiving honest feedback from other men.
. We can explore inherited world values with those who have similar challenges, opportunities and ideas.
. A community where we can respectfully challenge ourselves and one another to be better versions of ourselves.
We might discuss issues such as:
. Marriage & dating - polygamy & arranged marriages
. Brotherhood & shared values
. Identity - Expressing ourselves & our culture
. Money - Bitcoin, Sharia, Halal, Haram?
. Balancing & managing the tensions of the greater community
. Fasting & Eid celebrations
. Maintaining prayers whilst holding down a full-time job
. Education - achievement & parental expectations
. Jinn & mental health
. Gender roles & sexuality issues
. Making a home beyond the homeland
. Secrets & Lies
Discussing any aspect of our lives that we wish to share. This is not a study group, but a space to share our experiences and explore our judgements, fears and cultures.
This is a space where men brought up in a Muslim culture can open up and discuss how to live better and healthier lives.
Coming from a traditional background and living in a Western world can be a complex and lonely journey. With a foot in both worlds, you may wonder, "Which way is right? Is there a right way?" Navigating these two worlds requires exploration, self-discovery, liberation, and understanding how to bring out the best in yourself while respecting family, friends, and elders.
Do you want to EXPLORE being an AUTHENTIC Man and MUSLIM? Our MuslimMenSpeak group is designed to provide:
A safe, non-judgmental online space where Muslim men can come together and talk about anything on their minds.
A confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings, discover who you are, and redefine yourself as your own authentic Muslim man.
A community where you can respectfully challenge yourself and others to be better versions of yourselves.
Topics We Might Discuss Include:
- Marriage and dating, polygamy and arranged marriages
- Brotherhood and shared values
- Identity, expressing ourselves and our culture
- Money matters, including Bitcoin, Sharia, Halal and Haram
- Balancing and managing community tensions
- Fasting, Eid celebrations, maintaining prayers with a full-time job
- Education, achievement, parental expectations
- Jinn, mental health, gender roles and sexuality
This is a space where we can share our experiences and explore our judgments, fears, and cultures. We welcome both practicing and non-practicing Muslim men, as well as those struggling with Western cultural adjustments and integration. Together, we can create a space that honours both tradition and individuality, fostering a community where every man can thrive.

Would you like to chat with other retired men, at greater depth about issues that concern us at our stage of life?
What Do We Do?
RetiredMenSpeak offers us an informal space for genuine connection. We share our thoughts, experiences and feelings, helping us remain grounded, healthy and real. We’ve shared our feelings about seeking and finding a new direction and sense of purpose now full time employment has finished, we discuss health issues and emotions around ageing, relationships, loneliness, nostalgia, family and belonging - anything that’s important to us.
Our more serious discussions are often lightened by humour, without our experiences or concerns being trivialised or dismissed. We are respectful. We listen judgment free. We are heard. We are acknowledged.
We find sharing seems to make our burdens lighter. We are welcomed by an experienced facilitator, normally John, who equally participates and shares about himself, just like the rest of us. We start each meeting with a short ’check in’, an opportunity for each of us to share how we are feeling right there and then and if we wish, to share what is happening in our lives at the moment.
There’s no pressure to speak, it’s fine to say “pass” if you don’t wish to.
