Join us at the Crews Center for an interactive hands-on workshop and walkthrough. We’re diving into the world of Web Workers in JavaScript to explore how they can keep your UIs smooth and your apps fast by offloading heavy tasks.
Whether you’re designing the experience or building it, this session provides actionable skills to make your web projects shine. We’ll be using CodePen.io for the exercises, so there is nothing to install—you can jump in and start experimenting immediately.
What we’ll dive into:

• Live Demo: Building a Web Worker from scratch to see how it operates outside the main thread.
• Interactive Walkthrough: A step-by-step coding session you can follow along with in your browser.
• Design & Dev Synergy: Practical tips for bridging the gap between design intent and high-performance execution.
• Hands-on Exercises: Real-world scenarios to practice offloading intensive tasks.

Who is this for? UI/UX designers, software engineers, or aspiring developers who want to level up their web game and understand performance-focused development.
What to bring: A laptop is highly recommended so you can participate in the interactive CodePen exercises. No account is needed to get started!
