Longmont Easy Riders

Let’s try this again (last year was very cold and rainy). Offering a “family bike ride” at the annual Sustainable Resilient Longmont event on April 20. Looking for a few volunteers to assist in Herding the cats, safety checks, might be able to assist w any minor mechanicals, etc. ride will be about 1.5 hours, and we will stop to discuss benefits of riding bike (sustainability, cost, health, planet, FUN). Let’s get out there if the weather cooperates for a 20-25 mile ride at a pace of approx. 12-14 mph.
We will meet at the Longmont Senior Center entrance/parking lot/picnic table area. We'll do introductions and head out. Route tbd. Open to suggestions.
If the temp is not predicted to be above 40 at the planned start time, I will most likely cancel the ride. Be sure to check back.
These rides are primarily on road but occasionally will include brief sections on some hard packed/gravel trails. Typically not a problem for road bikes.

Let me know if anyone is interested in posting/leading rides. I work full time so will not be able to post/lead on a regular basis.
