Living Earth is an open circle of individuals and families in the south Denver area of Colorado. We share philosophies and practices of Earth-based spirituality and Earth consciousness. We celebrate the seasons, and grow together in a supportive, egalitarian environment. The vast majority of our events are designed to be family-friendly, although many of our members do not have children. We are welcoming and inclusive of all! We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit and a church (reclaiming that word!) for people who enjoy a very different embodiment of what a church can be.
As you may know Living Earth also offers a private ritual group experience by invitation. About half our events are published in this meetup group and open to the public, and the other half are invitation-only for this private ritual group. Samhain Ritual and Fire in the Forest
440 Wadsworth Blvd, 440 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226, USA, Lakewood, CO, USStep boldly with us into the dark season with a Samhain ritual under the stars, in the woods, lit by the dancing light of the fire. The caravan meets in Denver, and travels together to a location deep in the forest to face fears, honor our ancestors, and pave the path for the next generation. We will invoke Hekate, torchbearer and guardian at the crossroads.
This open ritual welcomes both longtime practitioners and the pagan-curious—anyone seeking authentic spiritual connection and a magickal experience.What To Expect:
- The drive is 1 hr 45 min away to the Pike National Forest. 4WD is recommended but not necessary. Carpool or drive your own vehicle.
- PLEASE check Meetup the day of the event - we will have to cancel if weather prohibits an outdoor ritual.
- Expect a powerful, participatory circle where everyone present is part of the working. This is not a performance—no spectators.
- Adults 16+ only, please, due to the serious nature of the ritual.
- The site is rustic: expect a short walk (50–100 yds) on uneven ground and standing during ritual. Send a message if you need mobility accommodations.
What to Bring:
- Bring your open mind and willingness to engage.
- Warm layers, outdoor wear, and ritual garb welcome.
- An item to place on the ancestor altar (optional) - you will take this item back home with you.
- Flashlight or lantern.
