Welcome to the La Jolla Active Walkers Group! Meet fun, friendly, enthusiastic new friends and exercise buddies, who want to -- or already -- lead healthy, active, vibrant lives. We take brisk walks two to three times a week at different times of day while we eagerly explore scenic routes in or near La Jolla, mostly close to the glorious ocean. Join us while we nourish our bodies, minds, and spirits while we walk, talk, and gawk in the great outdoors!
Why regularly take brisk walks? It strengthens the immune system, improves cardiovascular fitness, boosts moods, elevates energy levels, reduces stress, supports healthy body weight, sharpens cognition and memory, reduces sugar cravings, and so much more. You may even live longer.
Support the La Jolla Coastal Conservancy: Since we're enjoying these fabulous ocean views, we invite La Jolla Active Walkers to donate to the non-profit La Jolla Coastal Conservancy, which is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the area’s environmentally significant shoreline parks and green spaces for all to enjoy.
About the Organizer: I'm Connie Bennett, a wellness advocate, health coach, DreamBuilder Coach, life coach, fan of brisk walking, pickleball, bicycling, photography, and writing. I'm also author of the newish book, I Blew My Diet! Now What?
