About us
iOS Dev Scout, founded in 2011, welcomes all developers and enthusiasts who have been creating iOS apps as well as for anyone who has the passion to dive into native iOS app development. This group aims to engage interaction and sharing between fellow developers through monthly meetups and workshops, provide them with career opportunities, and help them collaborate with one another.
Besides the monthly meetups, we organise the annual iOS Conference in Singapore - iOS Conf SG. For more information, visit our iOS Dev Scout Group and iOS Conf SG Page:

Unhinged Ideas: Bringing pico cam to iPhone Duo
Soon is a designer-developer who launched pico cam four months ago, reaching 70,000 downloads and #1 in Taiwan’s App Store Photos category. In this talk, he’ll share how pico cam attracted a 2,000-person waitlist before launch, and how he approached iPhone Duo as a new kind of camera. He’ll walk through designing interactions across its screens, prototyping Polaroids that shoot out the back without owning the device, and getting the app’s interface to fit precisely around its camera bezel. Expect a behind-the-scenes look at the experiments, makeshift prototypes, and design decisions that brought pico cam to the Duo. - 7:40 PM: Swapnil Bapat - Developer of Basil: Budget & Spend Tracker app
Shipping iPhone Duo Support Without Rewriting Your UI Swapnil is a designer-developer who builds Basil, an expense tracker used by over 12,000 people in 120+ countries. In this talk, he will share how he got Basil ready for iPhone Duo without rebuilding the app from scratch, and how he taught AI about a device it had never seen. He’ll walk through when to build your own layout and when to just use Apple’s, how to keep the experience seamless when someone unfolds their Duo mid-task, what to do with all that extra screen space, and how to test on a Duo-sized screen without owning one.
