The purpose of this collective is simple: To create opportunity for developers & designers, both aspiring & veteran, to connect & empower one another within our up & coming Sacramento game industry!
To have a place where they can come together and communicate with one another, share ideas, form friendships and to learn ways to get into the Indie Game, Film & Music Industries PLUS, more importantly, get that project finished!
So, if you have both the drive & vision to create, this is definitely the place for you!
We have experienced professionals currently in the industry who are making Web, PC, Mobile, Console, Board games, Film & Music! These professionals include Game Designers, Programmers, Web Developers, Animators, 3D Modelers, Voice Actors & more! All are welcome!

SDC Town Hall & Potluck

Whether you're a game developer, artist, writer, musician, educator, or just passionate about creative tech, this is your opportunity to help shape the future of SDC.
At the Town Hall, we’ll be:- Unveiling our event calendar for late 2026 and early 2027
- Sharing new initiatives, programs, and goals for the coming year
- Discussing ways to better support indie devs and creative professionals
- Taking live community feedback and ideas
- Welcoming new and returning members into the fold
- Networking and enjoying lunch in a casual, social setting
Come hang out, grab a drink, enjoy some food, meet other developers, and hear what SDC has planned for the coming months!
The Potluck will run all day, but the the Town Hall portion will start at 1:00 PM and should last around an hour. We encourage you to bring food if youre interested!We want your thoughts, your energy, and your vision for what SDC should become. If you've ever wanted to be more involved or propose an idea for an event, initiative, or community improvement, this is the place to do it.
The Town Hall will also be streamed live on the SDC Discord, so if you can’t attend in person, you can still participate in the discussion.Message SDC at info@sacdevcollective.org if you are interesting in bringing food for the potluck!
