This popular birding hotspot in urban Tucson offers an easy walk through marshes created by Tucson Water to see waterfowl, regular and visiting warblers, and several exciting species hiding in the reeds. Tropical Kingbirds are a highlight of the summer months. Birders of all experience levels welcome! The Wetlands are located at 2511 W Sweetwater Drive.

• Maximum group sizes will be 10 birders, including our leader(s); participants must wear face coverings and observe safe distancing;
• All trips now require FREE registration
• Participation in social activities, such as field trips, comes with an inherent risk of exposure to infectious disease. Prospective participants should self-evaluate or discuss with their doctor if their participation merits this risk. If you’re sick or experiencing any symptoms that indicate you might be sick, STAY HOME.
• NOTE: Carpooling is temporarily suspended on Tucson Audubon field trips due to health concerns.

Meet new people and learn fun dance styles. This ballroom dance lesson is always free and covers a variety of dance styles, including Foxtrot, ChaCha, Waltz, Rumba, Tango, Samba, Bolero, Swing, Nightclub, and others.

Anyone can do it. This class is for those who are just starting to learn ballroom dance or have been dancing a year or more. You can jump in any time. We start each week with the basics and some simple patterns, giving beginners an opportunity to learn the basics while more advanced dancers focus on improving technique. Then each class ends with more advanced patterns.

The focus is on social dance, especially how to lead and follow each step. Most of the time is spent actually dancing not listening to lectures and demonstrations.

Come alone or with a partner. During class we rotate partners frequently, so everyone dances with everyone. We learn a lot better that way.

Wear whatever you want, but you're best off if you have shoes with some slip to them (not rubber soles - leather soles is good).

When you get to the gate, press the phone button, then the office button, and tell the person who answers you're there for the ballroom class.

Please join us for some Chi Kung and Tai Chi. Come alone or bring a friend. We are a small group practicing the rare Yang 88 San Shou partner form. Come join us even if you see no RSVP's, because some participants are not on Meetup.

Before Covid, we were practicing this form with a partner, with light contact. We were also practicing Tui Shou “pushing hands” which is another classic 2-person Tai Chi exercise. Plus some 2-person exercises from Ba Gua. Currently, you are welcome to practice solo, or with a partner, using safety guidelines that are appropriate for your level of risk.

Expect a fun, informal atmosphere. This is an ongoing, life-long practice, and beginners of all ages are welcome. This is not just for Meetup, and we are here even if you see no RSVP's. If you are a newbie, please arrive a little early.

This is an outdoor, informal, community yoga practice. Beginners and all ages welcome. You can be in the sun or shade. Friendly dogs are welcome, too. People attend who are not on Meetup, so come even if you see no Meetup RSVP's. We only cancel if it rains.

Every week has a different theme. We do mostly Hatha poses, especially those inspired by Nature and Hindu Mythology (with a little Chi Kung, too) .

First session is always free. Donations are appreciated thereafter.
