Robotics and ROS in Zurich

Switzerland has been called the "Silicon Valley of Robotics" (Forbes, 2017), and Zurich is a worldwide recognized robotic hub with several robotics experts and practitioners.

The Robot Operating System (ROS) is a software framework designed to simplify robotic application development for robots of all kinds, from mobile robots to arms, from custom built to commercial. ROS has gained significant adoption in research, but is now being increasingly applied to industrial and automotive cases as well.

This is a group for anyone interested in Robotics and/or using ROS to design and develop robots for real world applications.

The group is here to promote robotics in Zurich, to exchange knowledge and expertise through teaching and workshops and create connections between academics, industry, and hobbyists.

All levels of interest and experience are welcome, from absolute beginners to robotics ninjas.
