Join us on March 5th at 7pm at Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar (1104 H St NE, Washington, DC) for a special BurnerSphere showcase just for the DC community!

BurnerSphere is the official social VR Burning Man experience — an immersive documentary and living digital world where you can explore playa art in 360°, walk through beautifully recreated environments, and connect with Burners in real time from anywhere in the world. It’s not just something you watch. It’s something you step inside.

Athena will be there with VR headsets so you can dive in on the spot. Already have a Quest headset or a laptop? Bring it! She’ll help you get set up with your own account so you can keep exploring long after the night ends.

Come curious. Leave virtually dusty. ✨

Believe it or not, spring is on the way and that means it’s almost time for another Burner Cherry Blossom Pink Picnic! Come hang out and meet other DMV-area burners for a spring picnic under the blooming cherry blossoms.
The theme is PINK, so wear pink, bring themed snacks and drinks to share, and come ready to lounge, connect, and celebrate the season.
This is a free, public event for adults and kids.
I will update this event description with more details, including the exact location, as we get closer to the event. For now, please save the date.
As always, this will be a Leave No Trace event - so plan to pack it in and pack it out.

- Pink or blossom-themed outfits
- Pink snacks and non-alcoholic drinks
- Picnic blankets or chairs
- Lawn games, outdoor crafts, yoga mats, etc
- Water, sunscreen, and other essentials
- Friends, kids, and leashed pets

- Alcohol or drugs
- Large sound systems
- Fire props
- Negative vibes
- Drama

Gather with us to learn more about making the journey in 2026.

This is a particularly critical time with the main ticket sale coming up April 29, and registration for it happening April 20 to 28. Not that you can’t get tickets other ways, but we’ll talk about all that here.

Not reinventing the wheel, so this’ll build on what's been covered on previous BM for beginners hosted by Darrell:

• The 10+1 Burning Man principles
• Getting Tickets to Burning Man
• Making preparations for a week in the Desert
• Finding a home on the Playa
• Getting TO Burning Man
• Entering Black Rock City

Little Miss Whiskey’s allows outside food, so feel free to pick up some on your way or order for delivery when you get here.

This event is open to anyone for the hangout, but especially those who've never been to Burning Man or who has been only one year for the presentation.
Arrive as early at 7:00 pm, the brief presentation will begin at 7:30pm (will not last more than 30 minutes.
OR arrive after 8 pm if you’d rather skip the presentation altogether.

Veteran Burners, please pass this on to your friends who are burners and just don't know it yet!

Also save the dates for April 4th or 5th. The DC Burners Nonprofit is planning on hosting a small town hall and social in DC, a great next stop for any new and aspiring Burners.

Please note that Little Miss Whiskey’s event space is located on the second floor and is accessible by stairs only (there is no elevator or ramp).

The venue has three single-occupancy restrooms: two on the ground floor and one on the second floor.
