What we’re about

Every 3rd Friday of a month at 17:00 Central European (Summer) Time, this group organizes free Azure, SQL Server or Power BI data virtual Meet-Up to celebrate the start of the weekend by meeting people to a Microsoft Data Platform talk.

It is for beginner to experts of Microsofts Data Platform. Enjoy a speakers talk and a networking event thereafter!

From Wikipedia: TGIF = "Thank God It's Friday is a common expression in English speaking Western countries [and is not connotated to any religion, added comment by Data TGIFs lead organizer]. It expresses gratification that the working week is nearly over, and a weekend of leisure will soon be here."

Our goal is to spread knowledge in Microsoft Data Platform and to give opportunities for national and international networking for the Swiss community. Focus is primarily on online meetings so that everyone can participate from their own place but we may organize in-person meetings as soon as possible as well. Meetings are held in English so that we may cover all Swiss language regions.

The format is that the speaker generally has 30 mins for their presentation and there will be 30-45 mins for networking afterwards. That means, you may - if you want - engage your webcam and microphone to speak with others!

If you are interested in speaking, please do not hesitate to contact the leading team, especially if you're a new speaker! We will support and prioritize you.

If the speaker agrees to, the session will be recorded and published on our YouTube channel here: Data TGIF - YouTube

We emphasize that we want to create this event harassment-free and inclusive for everyone.
