Consider "Social Revolutions" (Part of the Q: How We Got Where We Are Today)

Details
Do you like to read books but don't feel the need to read the same book as everybody else in the group? This book group meeting is for you. This month, you're invited to read any book that falls into the theme of "social revolution". Social revolutions are the agents of change, periods of dynamic action that together shape a big part of how our world got to be how it is today. Looking for suggestions? You could read a book about what was going on with civilization to allow the development of the major world religions, the development of the major social changes that took place in the 1960s, the Iranian and Nicaraguan revolutions in 1979, the French Revolution, the industrial revolution; or communism.
We'll meet at my house in Newport Beach, California (near the intersection of the 55, 73, and 405 freeways). I'll email the exact address and phone number to people who RSVP yes in the week before the event.
The meeting occurs during the dinner hour, so I invite attendees to bring a food or drink or dessert to share with the others.
