About us
Rainbow Connections ATX (a program of Family Eldercare) invites ALL LGBTQIA+Two-Spirit people & allies ages 18-110 to come together & create community through potlucks, storytelling events, dances & more! We will be bringing activities all over Austin as well as the greater Austin area. We want to meet ALL of you! We are also actively seeking volunqueers.

Now open on the museum’s fourth floor, Masters of the Night: The True Story of Bats challenges long-held myths and reveals how bats help sustain ecosystems around the world.Through lifelike models, engaging interactive and compelling storytelling, visitors will learn how bats pollinate plants, regenerate rainforests and help maintain balanced insect populations.
The exhibit also explores Austin’s unique connection to bats as the “Bat Capital of the World” and home to one of the largest urban bat colonies on Earth.
Designed for curious minds of all ages, the exhibit invites visitors to look more closely at one of nature’s most misunderstood animals and gain a deeper appreciation for the important roles bats play in the natural world.
