What we’re about

San Diego WordPress Meetup is where San Diego’s WordPress folks come to learn, share, and meet the people behind the sites, shops, and plugins you see every day. 🤝

Whether you’re brand new to WordPress or you’ve been building for years, you’ll find a friendly room full of people who like swapping ideas, solving problems, and leveling up together. 🌴

What we do

  • Practical talks + demos on everything from block themes, design, and UX to plugins, performance, security, SEO, content strategy, and AI. 🎤
  • Show-and-tell / roundtables where you can share what you’re building, get feedback, and pick up ideas from others. 🧠
  • Networking that’s actually useful: find collaborators, freelance gigs, jobs, clients, and people who get it. 🔗

Who it’s for Site owners, freelancers, agency folks, developers, designers, marketers, content creators, and anyone curious about WordPress. Bring your questions, bring your wins, bring your stuck moments, bring your laptop if you want. 💻

If you’re into WordPress (or adjacent tools) and want a solid local community, come hang. 🙌

Huge thanks to Ansir Coworking, our venue sponsor, for hosting the meetup. 🙏

Thanks to our WordPress Global Community Sponsors who help support meetups and WordCamps worldwide, including WordPress.com, WooCommerce, Jetpack, Bluehost, Kinsta and Hosting.com. 💙

Ansir Coworking, 7670 Opportunity Rd #255, San Diego, CA, US

We’re kicking off 2026 with our first San Diego WordPress Meetup of the year, and the entire focus is WordPress + AI 🚀

This meetup is all about what’s here today, what’s coming next, and how to optimize, capitalize, and streamline your workflows using AI across WordPress ⚡️

What’s special about this one: colleagues from Automattic, including leaders helping shape Automattic’s AI efforts and major contributors to the WordPress ecosystem, will be in San Diego 🌴. I’ve asked them to join us for insightful talks and demos covering MCP, Telex, Jetpack, and more 🧠

Thanks to
Ansir Co-working (our wonderful venue sponsor) for hosting this month’s event 🙌

Drinks will be provided 🍻. If you can’t arrive right at 6:00 PM, that’s OK, but please plan to be there by 6:30 PM when we kick things off.

Space is limited to 35 attendees, so RSVP now to reserve your spot ✅
