What we’re about
West Berkshire's Natural Environment meetup group will seek to understand our local environment, explore the issues of Biodiversity and Climate change, and consider how Nature and eco-system creation and restoration can be used to offset carbon and improve our countrysides Biodiversity.
In particular the group will make global issues relevant to the people of West Berkshire.
The group is working with BioCap limited, www.bioCap.org.uk, a new not for profit social enterprise that is seeking to address the biodiversity and climate crises through community led landscape eco-system restoration and carbon capture. BioCap is in the process of producing an Opportunity Map for West Berkshire that will provide a vision for West Berkshire Countryside that offsets carbon and enhance biodiversity.
