Hello to all Tucson area Photographers! Welcome to the Tucson Photography Meetup Group organized by Roger DiFiore, Photography Instructor for the University of Arizona Continuing & Professional Education.
Whether you're just getting started in photography, a seasoned veteran, or a professional, you'll find something for you in our group. Digital or film, point-n-shoot to medium format, we want you!

Alanna began her professional modeling career at the age of 16. Numerous book covers, Top 15 Miss AZ 2014, Pinup model FITP Studio, Maya Palace commercials, Tucson Bridal and Expo Bridal, BukiBrand and more. You may recognize her from billboards and posters. Needless to say she is very experienced. She excels at posing and expressions, every click of your shutter will be unique!
Key Education Topics: Understanding & finding the best light. Creating poses and expressions. Alanna and I will discuss these topics throughout the shooting, you'll be able to take this knowledge with you.
We're going for 5-8 looks
- Round-Robin On Deck Photographer (ODP) shoots to a timer.
I will offer to review each photographers images for strengths and weaknesses.
- LUNCH BREAK: We'll take a 30 minutes about halfway through, bring your own food & beverages.
IT'S CUSTOMARY TO TIP THE MODEL. I've seen it vary from 10 - 100, do what you can to show your appreciation.
TRY TO KNOW:
- Manual mode: set shutter speed, f-stop & ISO
- And/or Aperture priority, I provide help if needed.
- Set white balance (AWB, daylight, shade, tungsten, kelvin, etc)
NOTES & BRING:
- Food / Snacks / beverages.
- Bring camera & all your Lens(es), charged batteries, memory card with plenty of free space.
