Speaker: Cordula Dick-Muehlke, PhD, Director of Education for the UCI Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders, with a talk and video presentation on:
Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias
Cordula Dick-Muehlke, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked in the field of Alzheimer’s disease since 1984. Dr. Dick-Muehlke recently assumed the position of Director of Education at the UCI Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND). From 1995-2011 she served as the exeucutive director of Alzheimer's Family Services Center, which provides critical care and support services to persons with Alzheimer’s disease and their families.
Dr. Dick-Muehlke has served on the California Alzheimer’s Disease State Plan Task Force, as Chair of the State of California Health and Human Services Agency’s Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Advisory Committee and as President of the California Association of Adult Day Services. She speaks widely to lay and professional audiences on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease and has also published professionally. Dr. Dick-Muehlke holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Portland State University, a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Portland, a master’s degree in theology
from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California, and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Graduate School of Psychology at Fuller Seminary.
