After much discussion with people just like you, we were inspired to create this group for the same reasons that you are here. We are all looking to do fun things together, as a group of friends, and meet other people in the local area that enjoy going out and having fun. Trying that trendy new restaurant or going out on the dance floor somewhere new is much more enjoyable when you do it with fun people in a group.
* We always want everyone to feel welcome, and that means that we are committed to having everyone feel comfortable as well as safe. If it's your first time to one of our events, please don't be afraid that you won't know anyone. We will make sure you are welcome.
* Suggestions are always welcome, and we'd love to have as many different types of events that as you can think up.
* Together we will have new experiences, explore new places, try new things, and enjoy all that Orange County and surrounding areas (and even the entire world!) have to offer. Whatever your interests, you will find an event for yourself in this group.
We look forward to meeting you!

The Canadian Maritimes
Halifax, 1583 Brunswick St, Halifax, NS B3J 2G1, Canada, NS, CAJune 8th – 17th 2026

Salt spray lingers in the air, curling around clapboard fishing villages and winding roads that appear to tumble into the edge of the Atlantic - this is Canada’s Maritimes. Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island together weave a tapestry of rugged coasts, seafaring lore, and the warmth of some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. Here, you can crack into lobster fresh from the pot, wander through fields dotted with lighthouses and potatoes on PEI, or stand awestruck before the world’s highest tides thundering through the Bay of Fundy. Everywhere you turn, the Maritimes invite a slower rhythm: coastal drives scented with salt air, historic port towns humming with stories, and chance encounters with locals who welcome strangers as old friends. To travel here is to embrace a world shaped by tides and tradition, where life by the sea is savored, one moment at a time.

MEDITATION
We have heard and read of the positive benefits from Meditation. Meditation can help slow the mind and open the heart. The only thing we control is our attitude. Personal changes and transformation are an ‘Inside Job’. Go within as we attract not what we want but what we are.
Physical Benefits of Meditation
With meditation, the physiology undergoes a change and every cell in the body is filled with more energy. This results in joy, peace, and enthusiasm as the level of energy in the body increases.
On a physical level, meditation:
· Lowers high blood pressure
· Lowers the levels of blood lactate, reducing anxiety attacks
· Decreases tension-related pain, such as, tension headaches, ulcers, insomnia, muscle and joint problems
· Increases serotonin production that improves mood and behavior
· Improves the immune system
· Increases the energy level, as you gain an inner source of energy
Mental Benefits of Meditation
Meditation brings the brainwave pattern into a relaxed state that promotes healing. The mind becomes fresh, delicate and beautiful. With regular practice of meditation:
· Anxiety decreases
· Emotional stability improves
· Creativity increases
· Happiness increases
· Intuition develops
· Gain clarity
· Problems become smaller
Meditation sharpens the mind by increasing focus and expands through relaxation
A sharp mind without expansion causes tension, anger and frustration
An expanded consciousness without sharpness can lead to lack of action/progress
The balance of a sharp mind and an expanded consciousness brings perfection
Meditation makes you aware - that your inner attitude determines your happiness.34 attendees
