Stephen David, Program Associate at the ACLU of Ohio will discuss Equal Pay and recently defeated attempts to pass legislation on this issue. He will document causes and contributing factors involved with gender-based pay disparities, and past legislative efforts to promote pay equity. He will place this discussion in the context of a number of issues, policies and attitudes that have direct effects on women’s lives in and out of the workplace. In order to promote equitable economic opportunities, he will present work being done by the ACLU on this issue and potential action for participants.
Steve has a Bachelors in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and his Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Community and Social Justice from Ohio State University.
