It's almost 2023 and it's time for an update!
Hello, I am Larry, head "Organizer" of GOT-OC, Get Out There Orange County and back when I first started this, back in 2009, well, things were different.
We used to do Angels game, Ducks games, concerts, parties, singles events, comedy clubs, Disney, Price is Right trips, Vegas trips.... sounds good yea? Yea! It was!
Well, people come and go, and I have met really good friends through meetup. The only way to experience meetup is to SHOW UP to a meetup. You can RSVP all you want, but it is all about SHOWING UP! Now the age demographic has changed, when I was in my 40's doing this, it was fun, in my 50's... it is a little more work.
I am commonly known as UNCLE LARRY, you can always find me at an event by asking for me as such. I am currently promoting the Beach Boulevard Club, dueling pianos in Buena Park. It is so much fun and every show is different. I try to keep the prices low, but it's not my decision to charge, but I try to get people out there.

GOT-OC was founded here on meetup, but has since expanded and grown to other social media outlets, so the rsvps, may close suddenly for those events that have limited space. We are more than a "meetup" group. Want to join the group but not meetup?

Everyone who RSVP’s for this event, agrees to read, accept and comply to these Attendance Guidelines listed below. These guidelines are to ensure the safety and security of our members and attendees. It also ensures the integrity of the event by holding everyone accountable to honor their RSVP.
· RSVP's: Everyone who attends an event must RSVP and must be on the “Going” list. If you change your mind about attending this event or not able to attend for whatever reason**, please update your RSVP to “Not Going” or notify the Host via text or Meetup messaging.** Everyone must put the event on your calendar so that you won’t forget.
· NOTIFICATIONS: Updates and confirmations will be sent out, so everyone who RSVP’s for this event must have their Meetup notifications turned on for this group and periodically check their personal email.
· CONFIRMATIONS: Confirmations will be sent to confirm your RSVP. When confirmation is requested, this is to confirm that you will be attending and the host can to submit the attendee final count to the restaurant or venue for the reservation. This ensures that there will be enough seats for everyone. In the past people who have RSVP’d become “No-Shows”. This creates problems with the restaurants and venues because those are seats that could have been provided to other guests. Those who don’t confirm will be moved to “Not Going”, but you can still go to the restaurant or venue BUT NOT sit with the group. “No-Shows” will either be removed from the group, or not be allowed to attend future events.
· ATTENDEE PROFILE PHOTOS & NAMES: We must be able to identify everyone who RSVP's, so you must have a current, clear, unobscured profile photo of yourself. Profile photos must NOT have the following: Sunglasses, Hats, face-covering, scarves, group shots, animals, nature scenes, blurry photos, shirtless photos, provocative or suggestive photos. Your Profile Name must be your real first name (no titles, nicknames, abbreviations, letters, symbols or numbers).
· BEHAVIOR: Everyone is expected to be respectful, considerate, courteous, gracious and maintain sober behavior. Everyone is required to abstain from gossip, discussing any hot topics that would create discord or arguments. This includes arguing or talking negative about politics, wars, race, religion, other people, other Meetup groups, or any kind of negativity. Profanity (cursing, swearing, cussing, obscene language) is also prohibited.
· SEXUAL HARASSMENT/ STALKING: Sexual harassment will not be tolerated. This includes unsolicited physical contact (touching) without the other person’s consent, making suggestive verbal comments, leering, using explicit language, and stalking. Violators will be removed from the group and all crimes will be reported to the police.
· HEALTH: We request that if you’re not feeling well, have any of the following symptoms from Covid, flu, cold, or virus; we respectfully ask that you not attend this event to prevent the possible spread of infection – cough, sniffles, measles, fever, chills, body aches, etc.
· DISCLAIMER: By RSVPing and attending this event you (the attendee) agree to attend at your own risk. The group’s organizer(s), or group member(s) are NOT responsible, or assume liability for any injury, loss, damage, health, harassment to your own person, or any members of your family, friends, acquaintances, children, pets, vehicle, or any other personal property, arising directly, indirectly or as a consequence from a group activity or event. With that said, we do take compassion and consideration for your well-being and situation, in that we are here to assist you in any way possible if any of the above happens. You also agree that your membership of this group is based on an "at will" basis. Photos of our events may be taken by the organizer and other attendees and posted on Meetup and social media to promote events.
