Realtime analytics with Druid at AppsFlyer

Druid is first ever open source analytics data store, whose performance is comparable to those of columnar database giants like Vertica and Redshift. We've come a long way at AppsFlyer towards providing best customer-facing analytics solution while trying different databases and technologies. Though it's a never ending road towards features enrichment, performance improvement and cost reduction it seems like Druid finds its steady place in our data analytics stack that serves 7.5 billions daily events (and growing fast!).

In this session we'll talk about what data analytics is, and why data store like Druid is needed by every data driven company like Appsflyer. We'll also present our way and mistakes we did. What's Druid and what components it consists of? How to set it up quickly? What's our recommended real-time data ingestion workflow? How to achieve best performance and effectiveness out of Druid?
