Agile Lean Coffee #35: Continuous Improvement
Details
This is the 33rd in a series of Agile Lean Coffees run by Aginext and the Digital Leadership Meetup. These are free, monthly, virtual ways to talk about certain topics and safely discuss your experiences.
Following last month's discussion of professional improvement, this month we are looking at kaizen or continuous improvement, the heart of any DevOps transformation. We will explore questions including: How are your retrospectives transforming into meaningful action and change? What headroom can you dedicate to improving the ways of working, the capabilities, the product? How is your leadership also doing retros and driving continuous improvements at systemic level? What’s becomes possible when the work system finds a way to improve continuously with small steps? Would big transformation efforts have worked better if they had started from improving where the teams were (practices / tools / skills / etc.)? (rather than impose methods? ) Would team / people engagement be stronger if they were given a chance to shape the change through improvements?
Loads to talk about! And this meetup's founder and kaizen super-fan Philippe Guenet will be joining this conversation!
Lean Coffee is a facilitated, but agenda-less meeting. Our participants gather, build an agenda of conversation-starting questions — and start discussing. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda for the meeting was democratically selected. We do ten-minute topic timeboxes (or less depending on topics), and then vote thumbs up or down if we want to continue for another five minutes. We do not record to contribute to a safe space for sharing.
Thank you to the tool Lean Coffee Table for allowing us free use: https://leancoffeetable.com
This is part of a series of activities that Aginext.com is sponsoring as we look to bridge the gaps between our conferences and to build a proper accelerated agile community.
Anyone who joins our lean coffees can also be invited to our exclusive agile-minded Slack community to continue the conversation.
