BA Monthly Meeting- Types of Atheism

This is an Informal Discussion allowing for group participation and the subject is guaranteed to stir up intense conversation. This discussion will be presented by our own member, Ody Kallivrousis.

According to the dictionary there is only one definition of atheism; but is there more than one type and is it open to interpretation? What type of atheist are you and what does atheism mean to you? Be prepared to speak-up but to also listen.

Ody, now in his late 40's, moved to Colorado in his early 20's after graduating from college with a science degree. He has been fortunate to be employed in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in the Boulder area for many years. He was raised with Christianity but has always been a skeptic (even as a teenager) and by his late twenties concluded that he was an atheist.
